    I wish my bass teacher could have taught this stuff. You make it easier to understand the fret board. Still takes a ton of practice though. Thanks

    ive taken classes and read books that were nothing next to this

    this has definately helped me understand alot more and the breakdown of the methods used are really simple to keep up with and understand

    Thanks so much for posting these. I’ve read/played music all my life (tenor sax – treble clef and only one note at a time to worry about). I thought I understood music, but all this chord stuff brings it to a whole new (and overwhelming!) level.

    I’m confused by one thing – The initial Cmaj triad is C-E-G. Why do we switch to C-F-G (I-IV-V) for the rest of the exercises. Why is this not C-E-G as well?

    Scale tones are ARABIC#s 1-3-5

    ROMAN numerals are chords from that key. I think I was pointing out that the I-IV-V are the most common chords in a key (pop or country that is, in jazz they would be ii-V-I ).
