Best Books for Learning Music Theory?

So I intend on furthering my music theory studies, I know some basic theory such as the common guitar keys, how to form arpeggios and harmonic minor stuff as well as how to apply them to my guitar playing.

I still don’t feel as though I’m progressing at the rate I want to.

Could you guys (and girls) suggest some books on music theory?

Much thanks, from Canada.

Benward and Saker has a pretty standard college level books. Available at Amazon. You might want to check out alfred.com – they have some more basic books leveled 1-6 for people teaching themselves.

If you are not interested in classical try all the berklee press books at http://berkleepress.com/
