    @asianwhite2007 My best guess is because of the musical style they shifted into. Diamond Darrell was more fitting for the early Glam Metal sound they had and into Cowboys From Hell. Once they got to making Far Beyond Driven, Dimebag just sounds so much cooler and badass than Diamond.

    @asianwhite2007 he didn’t change it, people just started calling him that because the guys in pantera were notorious for being pot heads.

    @asianwhite2007 Diamond was more “glam” and dimebag just sounds better,though if i were gonna be nicknamed after pot,i would wanna be called “brick” or “pounder” lol.
