“Django’S Tiger” With Joscho Stephan

Here’s me playing rhythm guitar with Joscho Stephan (www.joscho-stephan.de a fantastic gypsy jazz guitarist from Germany. Sorry for the background noise — there were a bunch of other jams happening at the same time. The song is “Django’s Tiger” by Django Reinhardt, a gypsy jazz standard. I got to hang out with Joscho at Django in June (www.djangoinjune.com an annual guitar camp in Massachusetts. Check out all of his stuff on YouTube! Guitars: Joscho is playing my AJL model 503-XO, and I’m playing a friend’s Dupont.

OMG! I saw gonzalo and now this fella. I love both guitarists, This guys has some major skills and some very creative outside the box ideas! Do you have any pointers for learning some of those awesome arpeggios? I can sweep pick already but those gypsy ideas are just fantastic.

Adrian, Bridget and I met you the other night at Bubbles, after the Django a go go at Joes. We talked briefly at a table there. I started searching for some of your vids and came across this one and another of you playing music with Adrien Moignard. Lucky dog you are playing with all these great players. I haven’t found one of you playing with Berili Lagrene yet. Can that be far away. Great vids Adrian thanks a bunch for posting them. Oh, I thought the jam at Barbes was great.
