Guitar Lesson: Scar Tissue by Red Hot Chili Peppers – How to Play Intro-Verse-Chorus
note: I know that the intro riff is played in 8th position. Before doing a tutorial i normally check live footage but forgot to do so in this case. However! What is played in the video are the exact same notes, just on different strings/positions. Check the annotations for directions, you can still use the strumming/picking pattern if you want to hold on to the original fingerings. In my humble opinion, this is not wrong just a little different and should sound the same… Welcome to this guitar lesson that helps you learn how to play Scar Tissue by the Red Hot Chili Peppers with an online instructional youtube video. If you use the annotations it is possible to skip certain parts which is handy for those who learn fast. Enjoy this new electric guitar lesson! thanks
I understand that you try to go slow to show us but it’s too fuckin’ slow, dude
@biankanichole could be, in that case I suggest a different lesson/version for this song for you that is at the speed you can appreciate. or when you learned the song put one online yourself, I think it’s good to have different lessons for the same song online because everybody learns in different ways…
@biankanichole
For a lot of people this speed is most appriciated. Hardly any risk of rushing things at all.
Nice vid. I’m still having a lot of trouble getting it just right, but until I saw your vid I was playing completely different tabs for the first bar and it wasn’t working out very well. The tabs you use are a lot easier for me to play than the other ones. Thanks!
@biankanichole fk off
These tabs are wrong
@rockaaleta I know that I use different fingerings at certain places but stating that its wrong is a bit over the top if you ask me… oh well, there are tutorials with “correct” tabs…
nice tabs man helped me a lot but your missing a part in the very beginning
the song starts on the 8th fret A string not on the 13th fret …if you play it with the record you will see its off
@illchild316 Its not about seeing, its about hearing:
i don’t know if you read the annotations but I am aware of this. however, if you play it “my way” and it sounds off when you play along with the record you need to tune your guitar or intonate your strings. 13th pos E string you play an F, 14th on G string you play A. When you play it like “it should” you play the exact same notes. (8th pos A string–> F, 10th pos B string –> A)…
