Well im gonna dive in with some obvious advice your gonna need to start slow with some smaller sweeps (not six or five string). You need to make sure the movement for the pick comes from the wrist and ensure that you’re right hand fingers are ‘rolling’ off the strings. most sweeps are arpeggios (often c based) so you can use the same fingering as the chords this will help if you’re looking at it thinking ‘what the hell’
    e—————9-12S–17–12——————|
    b————10——————-14————–|
    g———-9————————–14———–|
    d——-11——————————14——–|
    a–7-12———————————12S-16-|
    e—————————————————-
the above one is c based and then slides up to an a based sweep.
make sure the pick you are using is correct. To thick will slow you down and too thin will not strike the strings hard enough. Look on ultimate-guitar.com for some better advice than this!

EDIT: what the hell its removed the rest of my sweep tab! well you can still see the first is c based

it’s simple if you think about it. Sweep picking isn’t hard there are only 2 things to remember. Well.. maybe 3 the first is know the notes you want to play first :)

Concentrate on TOTALLY relaxing your picking hand
And use common sence, ie….always think at least a note ahead in other words, be able to see or know where your next note will be as your picking the one your on now. Then just figure out if its faster to upstroke or downstroke the next not so that you will be in position for the very next one. Its very simple if you break it down. Theirs no 1 way to do it but put yourself in the best position for any upcomming notes and you’ll be ok. Dont complicate it. Sweep picking arpegios, triads etc are simple if you make you minds eyes see the notes before you acctually have to pick them
