Help With Getting Better at Guitar?

I want to get a lot better at guitar. I’m not horrib;e now, but I wouldn’t consider myself a guitarist. What are some things I should learn. I want to mostly play lead, but I also want to know rhythm too. I’m getting lessons, but I want to progress even faster by learning some things on my own. I already know the e major, e minor, e major 7th, the c major and the g major chord. I know the f major arpeggio scale, I know the c major and minor scales, I know a few f major scales, and I know a few other scales too. So what could I do to get better. Like what are some songs, scales, and chords I should learn. And do any of you know where I can get drop-d and drop-c scales and chords?

Forget the Drop-D and all those weird tunings. Fool around with that when you are fluent. If you want drop D and drop C tuning.

Here is the site for you…

    http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/guitar_scales.php?qqq=3&scch=C&scchnam=Major&get2=Get&t=1&choice=1

You can selet among tons of tuning and you click on GET. The fingerboard will show you the corret fingering. You should get into Modes for guitar if you really want to add spice to your solo. Otherwise, it will be the same thing over and over again.

    Just a thought.

Well, you should learn all the scales, and YouTube is an amazing resource [especially for guitarists]
I’m a violinist and youtube instuctional videos have helped me ALOT, so get on there and start searching for things you feel might help you out.
And practice your improvs daily. That can help you see your own improvement, meaning, the more elaborate and moving your improvs become, the better a player you’re becoming, so always do that. It also helps for you to develop your own personal style.

So there, YouTube, improvs. I hope all that helps! =D
