How Can I Improve My Guitar Skills?
To start, i have a strong musical background, i have been playing piano for a long time. I also play a bit of drums and of course guitar.
I learned the Pentatonic scale and mastered it in all positions, and i know how to incorporate it in soloing.I also know the major and Minor scales bit only in one position but i can teach myself the others.
I have also been practicing arpeggios a little bit, but thats only because i heard they will help me, but i don’t know how.
So the things i want to learn are:
How to use major and minor scales in soloing
What exercises can i do to get better and how they will help me
And just other ways of improving.
in advance, thanks
Practicing with a metronome is really helpful. Start out playing the scales up and down slow and then build up speed.

Well, you could always get lessons, but those can be pretty pricey.
They have technique books for just about every instrument that you can buy that gives you alot of information and tips.
You can also just get a regular guitar playing book. Not sure if Standard Of Excellence makes a book for guitar or not, but they probably do.
Just go to your local musical instrument store and look around and ask the store clerks, they can help you out.
here is a good exercise.
start off with one scale going up and when you come back down play the next scale up instead of the one you were playing and then when you want to go up on that scale switch back to the previous one. this will help you with your switching, chord changes, just overall fingering.
also, learn pinch harmonics.
