How to Improve Speed and Dexterity on Guitar?

And how does improvisation work, I see guitarists making it up as they go, but how do they get so good at it?

    Metronome.

    Guitar players may be improving as they go, but it’s based off of the knowledge they have through years and years of playing. The more knowledge you have, i.e. theory, the better you’ll be able to express your ideas.
