I dumped by here while searching for something completly else.. I don’t need this beginner lesson. And call me a noob when I can play stuff like Cemetery Gates – Pantera (Except the last Dimebag squeel, I can’t nail that one =P.. Well, only Dimebag could) Master of Puppets – Metallica, Canon Rock – Jerry C (funtwo’s ver)
Stuff like that.. Stairway to Heaven too ofc, that is a must for any guitarist :p

It’s not about how long you’ve owned a guitar, it’s about how much you practice on it. FACT

So should I learn all of these major, minor, and diminished arpegios?? Will it help me a lot?? And is he saying that all of those arpeggios can be used in the key of D? or can be harmonized with D? Note sure, thanks guys!

all of those arpeggios work in d because thay are at corresponding intervals. For example if you were soloing with e lydian you could use the e major arp then the f sharp major arp then the a flat minor arp then the a major arp and then the b major arp then the c sharp minor arp and then the e flat minor arp and finally back to the tonic the e major arp. you just have to stay with the notes in the scale and see if the arpeggio has to be major or minor or whatever so it sounds like it fits in.

you need to learn about the intervals in the scale your going to use e.g. a C major is
CM Dm Em FM GM Am Bm CM
the Bm can be diminished or not depends on what you want
but then like benno referred to, you need to learn about the modes that correspond to each or these notes
dorian, phyrigian etc. if you would like me to explain further i would be happy to, send me a message and ill respond. i studied the modes extensively but not arpeggios nearly as much.

    happy arpeggios everyone =D

He isn’t pronouncing arpeggio right. But he plays well. Sweep picking isn’t a very useful technique though, unless you wanna show off though imo.

I would only tend to use sweep picking arpeggio’s when playing close to my limit. To play at the speed he’s playing t in this video I wouldn’t bother sweep picking.
