Hey! Thanks, I’ve only been playing guitar for a year and this vid really helped! Your other video for Longview helped a lot too! My friends and I want to do an acoustic cover of Longview. I don’t have an electric guitar yet so I’ve done a cover playing along to a backing track for Brain Stew on acoustic guitar. It doesn’t sound that great, I need to work on timing especially at the ending, but I think i’ll post my acoustic cover anyhow.

I kind of made up my own ending using the same chords, but that might be why my timing was off at the end.

Thanks mate! This was the first song I learned on the electric (or at least still learning, picked up a guitar for the first time about 3 or 4 days ago)

@Desmondbrotha108 hey man, thats great. It’s an excellent song to learn and is perfect for new guitarists. The song will give you a chance to work on your power chords and some strumming patterns, keep up the good work!

    Thanks
    Freddy!

The chorus, is almost right. You need to slide your hand slightly up and down when muted, and you don’t want complete mutes. And in the outro, your supposed to hit the open notes after the regular strums. And towards the middle of the outro, you need to go on eb (The highest e) and hit 4h5. I know it on bass 99% and guitar 99%.

@DXSonic8 hey man, for which parts? the power chords? If so, you could practise playing some power chords higher up the neck where the frets are closer together then gradually slide your fingers down the neck and see if your fingers still hold down the power chord :D thanks, freddy

@DXSonic8 Practise. And don’t try to catch strings 2 and 3 with your middle finger and your ring finger but with the ring finger and your pinkie. May be a bit difficult at the beginning but then you’ll have no problem with this.
