I guess maybe I should go out and buy another electric…. I imagine learning sweeping on it instead of my acoustic would be a lot easier..

But think if I learn how to sweep on an acoustic and make it sound clean and great… then go to an electric and own that shit haha

idk why people downvoted you its a reasonable question. an arpeggio is a chord, for example, an A minor, broken into single notes.

I’ve learned a lot of shit on acoustic that most people would think is impossible to learn. I mean, I learned Mordecai by Between the Buried and Me on acoustic and the only part I have left to perfect is the sweep on the solo. And I can somewhat sweep pick on acoustic already. Just not perfectly yet. So it can work out.

In the words of Joe Dirt: You can’t have no in your heart.

    haha.

It’s an A minor arpeggio. It contains the notes, A, C, and E. If you look at his hands, you shouldn’t have any problem knowing how to play it. However, knowing how to play something and actually doing it (especially with sweep picking) are totally different things. Good luck, and don’t give up. It’s a pain.

Practice your right hand on the full sweeps to get them cleaner. I started practicing with sweep picking for ca a half year ago, its somthing you have to “plug” in, it takes time to get both hands clean together. When you have got through that step you’ll be able to sweep almost anything, belive me, i’m berely at that point now. / good playing, keep it up ;D

10 mins….this is NOT what to do when sweerping…its sloppy, noisy, not musical and theres hardly any sweeping…other than the buckethead tapping this was shit

Dude your pretty good. Your timing is off but just practice with a metronome and you’ll be even better in no time!

@FTSguitar Umm, dude, that’s an Ibanez RG. Probably an RG120, from the looks of the pickups, trem, knobs, and pick up selector switch.
The only difference it the fret board inlays, which aren’t RG120 inlays, but that is an Ibanez RG series.
