How's My 80's Rock Guitar Playing?
These are just some very short song clips of me playing the guitar with no drums or bass. The first song is "Dreams" by Van Halen. Please don’t rate me bad just because these aren’t professional quality full band recordings with all the instruments. I just recorded these in my basement one night.
How’s my original improb solo "Enter the Night"? I know the hammer-on intro is kinda dumb but I incorporated some tremolo picking into it and it’s based off of 2 arpeggio forms. I usually try to capture an edgy 80′s hard rock sound.
"Miami Heat" is a synth song I did, so maybe skip over that.
"Shadows of Yesterday" is song by the guitar legend Vinnie Moore that I covered for the rhythm portion. I know it’s kinda choppy in some parts.
I will completely ignore any insults that aren’t justified. Personally, I think it’s very immature for musicians to insult others for no reason without giving them "real" feedback.

Thanks! I can play "Foolin" by Def Leppard but I don’t know any Great White or Whitesnake even though I love both groups. I can play lots of 80′s hard rock like Motley Crue, Dokken, Warrant, etc. Jan Hammer was actually my influence for the synth song.
I thought it sounded pretty good. I only know "Dreams" by Van Halen, which was good, but the other songs sounded good too. Now can you play some Great White, Def Leppard, and Whitesnake. Or how about some Jan Hammer on Miami Vice.
