Arpeggios are absolutely key to mastering the art of playing guitar. Arpeggios put chords in a different perspective in order to understand how they are built and how to use them in different ways. Prepare to have Ben expand your musical world. Pattern 1 ——————————————————————— Arpeggios are essentially broken up chords. Instead of strumming chord shapes, you can pluck each note of the chord individually to achieve a different type of sound. This is very common in many pop, rock, and folk songs, and it opens up a world of new rhythmic possibilities.
