Necrophagist – Diminished to B Solo (Cover)

It took me about 1 week to learn this solo. It’s far from an easy solo, especially if you can’t sweep pick. One problem is that my guitar hasn’t got 24 frets, and this song is supposed to have those tones. So I did a replacement, and I think it sounds as good as the original. I hope I did a good job on the solo, please let me know by comment and rating! And sorry about the bad mic … Thanks for watching! :)

Just practice on easy 3-string sweeping first, so you get the technique. Watch some tutorial videos on how to sweep, here on youtube. Check out my new youtube account: JapaneseDemonTengu

by looking at your other covers i would have never guessed you could play this solo lol not saying your other cover werent, good, i think theyre great, but this solo is far ahead of those on a scale of difficulty. but im the same way man, i cover all the old good stuff but everyonce in a while i like to show off my chops ;) but i love you like different guys like dime alexi and muhammed, three greats. but yeah if you want check my vids out bro

If you don’t have all the frets don’t tune you 1 step down…
With standart tuning your 22 is the 24 …

no man your 22 would then be a 20 on the other guitar, you could play the solo in another key, where the 22nd would be the highest frett needed, or you could tune a full tone higher.

    Bravo muchacho!

i’m putting up a full cover of Stabwound very soon and also Tastes like Kevin Bacon by Iwrestledabearonce.

    Also re-doing my covers of:
    The Faceless – Pestilence
    The Faceless – Prison Born
    ORIGIN – Finite

Check those out if you want.

But enough of that, you did a more than excellent job on this solo and i’m both very impressed and inspired to learn this too.

Good job man, 5 starts and a Sub for you.

Instant 5 out of 5 for not having the song on ridiculously loudly to cover up mistakes and general sloppyness. Its great to see someone not afraid to show what their actual playing is like!

Not completely perfect but a damn good attempt, give it another week or two and im sure you could nail it perfectly, you clearly have the chops.
