    Hi

As I explained on previous post, start with the 3 or 4–note (mini-chord) sweeps.
The secret to sweeping is not hard. Its the same technique as a strum of a chord except, you finish with an up-stroke on the last note. That is what sets the sweep apart from the strum and accentuates the last note.
Don’t force your pick. Just let it glide smoothly like a strum except, on the last note, finish with an up-stroke attack of the pick. As soon as you are about to hit the last note on any sweeps, the fingers should already by off the fingerboard on the last 2 notes.

the best way to get it down really well, is just to practice it, i can’t really think of any finger exercises or anything. Try playing some of The Human Abstract’s songs, they’re full of sweeps, but they might be kinda hard for you to play at full speed.
