Just another way to skip up the fretboard..I love it Jaco…oops I mean Marlowe or Thomas or whatever it is you call yourself..can’t wait to look at this more closely later…keep these “long session talking lessons” coming man! We’ve all learned so much from you. You are the greatest teacher! Next stop: Autumn Leaves in all inversions/positions + the overall secret to walking jazz lines! Thanks again Marlowe.

@asifineededaname Anyway, the Beatles (for example, but it’s the case with all great bands it seems) did that to all their instruments (and a lot worse), and the Rickenbackers didn’t fell apart! A bass neck isn’t made out of cardboard, don’t worry.

Marlow! You’re getting better and better in delivering content and lessons. I remember the first video you started talking, you were shy!

I salute you and your video!

@vsmcax1007 I’m glad you mention Jaco because he, on his “Modern Electric Bass” video, demonstrates several ways of using arpeggios to move up and down the neck in melodic ways. That video was invaluable in my progress as a bass player. This video is also excellent although sticking to arpeggios for walking bass lines gets boring fast but it is a good starting point.

I have no idea why I never thought of practicing all the different versions of your standard major, minor, dominant arpeggios. Seems like that’d be immensely useful. Thanks Marlowe!

I love how in your recent videos, I can hear your voice perfectly, and the amplified bass sound is heard very cleanly. (no clack clack of just the strings)

@revtgl1 The most popular 7th chord is the Dominant 7th, which has a minor 7th note.
