So When the Greatest Play Guitar Ultra Fast?

What are they playing? I just started playing so i dont know the words for everything. Licks? Riffs? Scales? Chords? Where can i find some

    they are playing mainly individual notes, which all fit together from a scale, depending on what key the music is in. they mix this with chords, which fit in with the song at that moment in time.
