Should i get a guitar pedal?
im a beginner guitarist (7 months) and i was wondering… if i deserved a multi effect pedal tats 350$…. what do you guys think? am i wasting my money or does it really matter? if you wanna know my skill level.. i have recently learned pick sweeping and have learned the following songs: Crazy train, Green tinted sixties mind, lay down, sweet child of mine, panama.
Of course you do! Give yourself the benefit here… you’ve learned a lot, you’ve come a long way (although I’m willing to bet my shoes that you need to go back and practice some of the fundamentals… I highly doubt that you’re sweep-picking correctly at only 7 months in!).
So treat yourself – you’ll find that you’ll play differently and come up with new material by having different tones at your fingertips.
And don’t forget to practice your basics – correct fingering, alternate picking, scales, picking cleanly with *no* fret buzzing or wrong strings being strummed, etc.
