it says lesson, that would kinda mean that people are wanting to LEARN, you learn slow and speed up.. or you try it fast straight away and sound crap.

you’re dumb, it’s a lesson video, if you played an instrument then you’d understand, and no the speed is not what makes sweep picking sweep picking you dumbass, it’s the motion of your pick as you hit the notes of an arpeggio.

lol i guess im retarded then….

i started with 5 strings sweeps XD

(i didnt know they had 3 string sweeps cuz all i heard of was 5 string sweeps)

The thing that makes sweep picking sweep picking is that you only do one motion with your hand to play 2 or more notes that are in different strings..

first sweeps I learned were slekies 5 string with taps so I agree with you. It seems kind of dumb to start playing guitar and want to learn sweeps right off the bat. This video is the equilavent of teaching a baby the basics of doing a backflip before they can walk…

A good song that has these in them is Ride The Lightning. The Arpeggios at the end of the solo is just this; but a lot more, faster, and different frets. I just thought that may help some people…

i learned how to sweep 5 strings in about 4 hours, before which i didn’t know how to sweep at all. its not hard once your hands grasp the concept.

one thing is to learn it and a different one is to master it, of course everybody learns at different rates, but i’m a 100% sure you couldn’t play 5 string sweeps in 16th notes at 200 after only 4 hours of practice. it’s not that hard but definitely requires time and dedication.
