Sweep Picking Scales

Need help learning the selection of exploration …?
I'm an average guitar, and played about six years. I studied Classic for the last three years, and entered in theory, if I am competent enough in my music theory. I'm fine with my keys, scales and modes. Classical music is good, but I listen to metal, and want to know how to choose to scan. I'm not looking for any shortcuts. I just want some tips on way to learn and practice. Once again, I try to learn to sweep a week, I am willing to devote intensive training, as I do for classical. Suppose I have the necessary equipment, I do, and at least the exact amount of skill and dexterity. How can I practice? (The links are great, like explanations). Ten points who gives me the best help, advice, etc. Thanks!
Hey, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "sweeping" the selection is already talk metal, I think that is very fast up and down by choosing different scales. But anyway, what I propose is to find a song you really want to learn in You Tube and see how different people play. I did this for about a year and helped them learn new songs and learn to improvise.
