Sweep Picking Switches
www.homestudioland.com Please visit the site for the pdf tablature and the power tablature. One of the most commonly-encountered problems when sweep picking is switching positions fastly and precisely enough. Sometimes your technique is great and you’re playing every single note that you’re supposed to, but when it comes time to move your fretting hand to another place on the fretboard, it gets really sloppy, and sometimes the headache can put you down. Believe it or not, overcoming this is actually less of the switching, and more of the PLAYING. Sure, the switching itself has a lot to do with it, but you’ll find that the more comfortable you become with repeating the shapes themselves, the easier it will be to land into the correct position on the fretboard. These things take TIME. There is no way to pull this off in a week or even a year. You’ll find down your guitar-playing road that it was a matter of sticking with it and letting your hands become so accustomed to switching that your hands and fingers can make no mistake.
