Thumb Question on Sweep Picking?
ok so i learned how to sweep pick but noticed that my thumb was
a bit over the neck..
and me remembering my teachers wisdom was that im not
supposed to put my thumb over..
unless like i play blues stuff.
but now when i sweep pick.
it is harder for me when I try to hide it
and easier when i show it a bit.
but iv seen the pros show it a bit but i want to do it the proper way.
so which way should it be,
thumb hiding.
or just as long as im comfortable.??

you should play the way thats most comfortable for you, it’s all about developing your own style of playing. if we all stuck to the "manual" and did things properly the guitar playing wouldn’t have developed into the many forms it now takes!
