What's a Good Guitar Solo (Drop D)?
I know it seems like kind of a dumb question, but I have a very nice guitar on its way in the mail. It’s sort of a shred guitar so I need a good solo or two to be able to demo it. It should be in drop D so yeah any songs that are in drop D that have good solos. Anything except sweep picking please 
Well, there are a lot of solo’s that don’t require the Low E string, so playing in drop D as opposed to E standard is going to be a moot point. Having a nice guitar, or a shred guitar have nothing to do with being metal, or having the ability to play a metal solo or any solo in drop D.

– The song is in drop D, but the solo never hits the Low E string, so its irrelevant. Even the second solo, which is sweep picking and you won’t be able to play… but the first solo is going to be just fine.
