Will Playing Guitar as Fast as I Can a Lot Make Me Able to Play Faster?

I have to play as fast as I can when I play guitar, because it’s in a very cold spot and makes my fingers go numb quickly. So that’s the only way to keep that from happening, or so people say. But will doing that also make me able to play faster than I do now?

Practice playing any dragon force song… thats how you get fast. Practice makes perfect.

The only way you will successfully play faster to a high standard is to play slow at first, get down your technique, and then slowly speed it up more and more each time you feel comfortable and aren’t making any mistakes consistently. Otherwise it’s pointless because there’s no standard to meet and everything will become sloppy.

As for a cold guitar, you need to start keeping it somewhere a little warmer as looking after your guitar is what’s going to keep it in good condition and sounding good. Wipe your strings, wash your hands before playing, etc. Look after your instrument and it will look after you.

You also don’t want to be rushing your playing time, because practise makes perfect and the least time you put into it the less you will get back out. Stick at it mate and you’ll be playing faster and faster in no time. Good luck.
